Een monumentale sfinx is uitgehouwen in een schetsmatig landschap. Op de achtergrond staan drie piramides. Drie kleine figuurtjes in de hoek linksonder kijken omhoog naar het gelaat van de sfinx, dat met meer detail en contrast is uitgewerkt.
