Notitieboekje van Jan Garemijn als directeur van de Academie Brugge, daterend van 1771-1775. Het boekje bevat informatie over de schooljaren 1771-1772 en 1774-1775. Het gaat om 54 folio’s, in vier katernen samengebonden tot een schriftje met een kartonnen omslag. Aan de flap van het voorplat is nog de restant van het touwtje te zien dat als sluiting diende. Garemijn gebruikte het enerzijds als schetsboekje, maar hij maakte er ook aantekeningen in. De gebruikte schrijf- en tekenmedia variëren. Er is zowel rood krijt, potlood, bruine inkt, als zwart krijt of houtskool gebruikt. De bladzijdes bestaan uit gevergeerd papier. Het boekje heeft een iets andere opbouw dan de andere notitieboekjes omdat informatie over twee schooljaren bevat. De eerste bladzijden zijn verbonden aan het schooljaar 1771-1772. Ingeleid door twee leerlingenlijsten, wellicht van de eerste wedstrijd om plaatsen in november, volgen de schetsen die Garemijn maakte tijdens de poseersessies in de klas naar model. De acties van de naaktmodellen werden snel op papier gezet. Hij gebruikte hiervoor steeds een enkel medium: rood krijt of grijs potlood. De laatste tekeningen van het schooljaar zijn gelinkt aan de wedstrijd om prijs. Deze schetsen zijn in bruine inkt of potlood gemaakt. 1772 was een uitzonderlijk prijsjaar omdat Garemijn toen een van de poses moest aanpassen. Om deze reden komen de bewaarde wedstrijdtekeningen (0016.GRO0034.II;0016.GRO0037.II) overeen met de aangepaste actie 23 (14r-v) en niet met de eerstgekozen actie 22 (13v). Naast de schetsen noteerde Garemijn steeds informatie in de kantlijn. Zo weten we dat er doorheen dit schooljaar twee modellen, quasi afwisselend, poseerden: [Jan] Noost en [Pieter] Percyn. Percyn was wel de enige die voor de prijswedstrijd model stond. Volgend op enkele notities, blanco bladzijdes en een berekening van het aantal lampen in de academie, kondigt een notitie het schooljaar 1774-1775 aan. De lessen vatten aan op 26 oktober, om 17u30 precies. Nadien volgen de schetsen van alle acties die tijdens het schooljaar geposeerd werden. Meestal gaat het om schetsen in potlood of bruine inkt met daarbij de data van de poseersessies. Opvallend is dat de naam van het model steeds ontbreekt... Pas bij de laatste schets van dit schooljaar, geeft Garemijn aan dat Percyn in totaal 107 avonden geposeerd heeft. Hij poseerde dus alle acties gedurende dit schooljaar en ontving hiervoor twaalf stuivers per avond. Na de schetsen volgen opnieuw enkele notities, hoofdzakelijk over het schooljaar 1771-1772. Zo zijn Garemijns plan voor de prijswedstrijd en de 'decoratiën' voor de prijsdeling erg leuke en interessante informatiebronnen (52r-v). Het boekje sluit nog af met twee leerlingenlijsten uit 1774-1775, een van de klas naar model en een van de klas naar sculptuur.

The Sint-Janshuismolen is not very large, and for safety reasons, we can only accommodate a maximum of 25 students per half hour. To ensure that all students can explore the mill, we will divide the class into two or three groups on-site.
A part of the group will have the opportunity to view the mill from the outside, while the other part can actually enter the mill. After a certain time, the groups will switch so that everyone has a chance to see and experience everything.
